The Big Kahuna

I think these pictures speak for themselves

Is that Lindsay Lohan?

As I said earlier, Charlene is a big fan of the rum punch.

Here she is after a few too many. We started calling her Lindsay since all her pictures remind us of a stoned Lindsay waving to the paparazzi.

YOLO not Polo

We had a horrible rain storm last night which rained out my polo lesson.  As of right now, polo is still a bucket list item.  We've had beautiful weather here that is occasionally interrupted by 2 minute long rain storms.  There is a constant breeze so you don't feel the sun.  I won the award as worst sun block applier ever.  I'm not sun burned so much as I have these uneven red blotches everywhere.

Instead of horses, we went to the beach.  We cannot get enough of these ocean side waves.

Eric, Jeff and Jamie all jumped off the cliff.    Funny story about the cliff... Allison told them that Wally and Gia had jumped off the cliff which Butch remarked was kinda like a double dog dare. Turns out, Wally and Gia jumped off an entirely different cliff in an entirely different country.    But hey... You only live once!!

I can't help but notice your matching hats

Butch and I were making fun of the couple with matching hats on the plane.

No big surprise but the gang bought us matching hats today

Have we done anything besides visit the bars?  Of course.  We went shopping in Bridgetown, swimming at Carlisle Bay, snorkeling and swimming with the turtles.

Tomorrow, I have my polo lesson and then we will probably do some more swimming.

How old are you guys?

The Crane Hotel is a really nice hotel.  Did anyone expect any less of me?

One can only imagine that the management has dispatched someone special to just follow us around the resort to make sure we don't get into too much trouble.   We know for a fact that the staff is well aware of that group staying in room 952.

Here is a picture of us before the bar

And after

Some of our favorites

Best quotes so far....

"Don't drown my Charlene"
"I'm a sucker for a bum"
"I can tell she's no good by her ass cheeks."

Fish Fry

The Fish Fry probably would have been a lot of fun had it not been raining.

The food was yummy but we didn't spend anytime walking around due to the aforementioned rain.

Jelly Fish

Jelly Fish are not fun.  At all. Not one little bit.

I got stung today while swimming in the ocean.

I should also add that I was the only one out of 6 people who got stung.

Charlene hooked me up with some aloe so I'm better now.  Allison did offer to pee on me but I went with the aloe. Go figure.

Here are the sting marks on my legs

Man Down

They make a Rum Punch here in Barbados.  While one of the ingredients is clearly rum, the punch is not so much an ingredient but how you feel after a few.

We are not sure if it was the sun, the saltwater or the rum punch but Charlene was clearly enjoying herself today.

We are here!!

Note: This should have been posted Thursday night

As I've said in more than one blog, American Airlines tagline should be "what are you complaining about? we got you there didn't we."

We arrived at the hotel at about 8:30 PM local time. So we missed about a half day of sun but had an entertaining time at the JFK.

How's the hotel? Fantastic. We have our own plunge pool and multiple decks and the bedrooms are huge.  I'll include pictures tomorrow.

Butch did well with our rented van and driving on the other side of the road.

More tomorrow....

Crane Beach

We are in heaven at the Crane Beach.

The Crane Hotel is on the Atlantic side of the island so the waves are fun and sometimes scary.

We had a great time playing in the waves and hanging around the beach today.

Shane, our new friend, kept the drinks flowing while we were at the beach.

The pictures do not do justice to how beautiful it is here.

We are off to the Fish Fry tonight.

A few bumps and bruises

A bit of a rocky start to the trip.

Eric decided to wash the car during the polar vortex.  This is what you get from a boy from New Orleans.  Car was frozen and had to spend the night thawing out in the Linex shop.

Made good time to the airport.

However, the plane had a mechanical failure and we are currently stuck at JFK.  We hope to leave at 1 pm.

Anyone want to guess where we are hanging out?  I'll give you 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count.

You are correct....

Memorable quotes so far...

"It's never too early for soup."
